MYERLEE CIRCLE NEWS LETTERS
DECEMBER 2016
============================================================
HOME OWNER ASSOCIATION FEES TO INCREASE FOR 2017 There is no easy way to put this news, there will be an increase in the Association Condo fee from $376.00 to $400.00, starting in January 2017. The budget building process brought together members of our community at large as well as Board members to review fixed expenses, discretionary expenses and possible capital improvements. Our largest gap in the budget is in the reserves category, given the estimates collected for the painting, road repairs, and roof replacements all coming in the near future. The state of Florida is also mandating that associations fully fund reserves. We stand about $600,000.00 short in this category. The two budget proposals voted on at the November Board meeting each dealt with this issue, with slight differences. Our current increase will bring us in line for needed expenses with recent estimates. We recognized within the Board the challenges and struggled to come to our decision. We now move forward and continue to make our community the great environment it is for all of us. Please check with our treasurer Linda Fentner @ 239-400-1093, or her email: lmfentner@msn.com if you have questions concerning any payment changes.
55 AND OVER COMMUNITY WORK MOVES FORWARD Following up on the survey results received from unit owners, you will soon be receiving either by mail or personal delivery a package for 55 and over follow up. It will contain forms that need to be completed by someone in each household that is 55 or over AND NOTARIZED. The Board is in the process of identifying sites where you can get documents notarized and what kind of fee may be involved, if any. We will also need a copy of other ID, as well as verifying ages, but that will be explained in the package. Please look for that info soon.
