Meeting called to order by President Wynberg @ 10:00 AM on April 16, 2020. Linda Fentner not in attendance due to technical difficulties.

 

Maintenance report presented by Dave Ferris and Kim Hanson.

  • Mike started cleaning dryer vents and gutters
  • Repaired small leaks found at 3 elbow junctions of irrigation pipes, must watch areas closely now
  • Repaired roof shingles that had lifted off roof, watching areas closely due to pending hurricane season
  • Cleaned and painted pool deck with assist of 2 volunteers, will do Lanai painting next Monday
  • Plan to hang pool security doors after painting completed
  • Timers installed on Lanai bathroom fans

 

Secretary’s Report

      Board Minutes from March 19, 2020 approved and

      accepted after errors corrected

 

Treasurer’s Report: Linda not available to present report

 

  1. P. Report

        Joyce presented important points gleaned from 2

        different Webinar Presentations she attended:

  • Covid-19 impact on association’s finances
  • Need to create a COVID-19 Emergency Plan
  • Evaluate need for additional insurance, such as Gap Insurance
  • Do not re-open pools and/ or amenities until recommended by CDC or state agency
  • Continue to use lawn and Life Safety service, and
  • Do not implement new protocols, for fees or other services, without consulting legal council

President’s Report

      Reviewed  COVID-19 current statistics for Lee County and

      Current national stats. Discussed current recommendations

        for use of face masks. President reviewed and        identified areas of the budget that Directors must watch closely as we are currently over budget in some areas. Larry reports we appear to be $8,000.00 over budget. Further review needed @ next board meeting.

Director’s Reports

Clubhouse/Pool Report

        Kim will schedule clubhouse carpet cleaning after Stay

        At Home order is lifted

Unit Report

         Discussed reasons for small leaks in irrigation pipes

         Will monitor roof issues closely

Grounds Report

          Sandy reports Bee Hive removed on 3/31/20, the cone

           will be removed when appropriate. Bugs R US called to

           handle a sugar ant Infestation outside several units.

           No ant hills found, owners sprayed  outside and inside

           their condos with good results. Several owners asking

           about new plantings which cannot be done at this time

           due to the DROUGHT we are currently experiencing.

           THERE WILL BE NO MULCH SPREAD OR NEW

            PLANTINGS UNTIL THE FALL.  Sandy obtained two

            Proposals for trimming shade and Palm trees before

            the hurricane season and preparing ground for a

            Memorial Garden. Sandy will obtain another estimate

            before presenting Proposal at next board meeting.

Old Business

             Dave presented Rule Changes for truck parking regulations

              Linda Fentner not at meeting but the 6 board

              members present all in favor for the adoption of the

               Recommended changes after Dave corrects the

               format.

               Joyce discussed draft of Emergency/Pandemic Plan

               All board members present voted to have legal

               Council review plan. VP also informed members that

                there may be a 50% increase for flood insurance

                premium in June.

New Business

                 Emotional Support Animal  (ESA)-ESA bill passed,

                  Requirement changes will be in effect July 1, 2020.

                  Pearl presented ESA Accommodation request by

                  seasonal owner and reviewed supportive

                  documentation submitted by owner. All present

                  Board members approved the accommodation  

                   request. ESA Committee member will notify owner.

                   Pearl read complaint received from Myerlee

                   Country Club North stating some Myerlee

                   Circle owners used their pool without permission

                   They have notified the police and want this

                   Trespassing stopped. A notice will be emailed

                    to ALL Myerlee Circle owners/residents.
