FROM THE MYERLEE WOMEN’S CLUB: Our thanks to all of our volunteers (too many to mention) that worked so hard to make our Trash and Treasure Sale a great success. The Trash and Treasure Sale is the Women’s Club annual

fundraiser. Profits of the sale goes to the improvement of the interior of our clubhouse.

STRENGH & BALANCE – CHAIR YOGA: This class is offered on Thursday’s starting Jan 24th thru the end of April, at 10 am at the Club House. A 45 minute DVD of seated stretches, upper body strength building, and optional standing balance with a chair. Everyone is welcome including mobility challenged. Call/txt Cindy Perry 575-779-1022 if you want more information. Also offered in lieu of water aerobics during cold weather on Tues or Fridays.

POKER ANYONE? Poker players needed. If interested contact Terry Lowry via email at tmljet@hotmail.com or by

HAND AND FOOT CANASTA: Sandy Stapela would like to start a Hand and Foot Canasta group. If interested or for more information please call Sandy at 239-222-2634.

FIELD TRIP: The next Circle’s Field trip will be on February 22. Hermann’s Royal Lipizzan Stallion Training Performance. See attached flyer for all the information about this trip.

WOMEN’S CLUB MEETING: The Women’s Club meeting will be on Monday, February 4. All are welcome. Come and join us at 10:00 for coffee. Meeting starts at 10:30. Please come and help us organize some of our Myerlee Circle activities.

MEN’S PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The men will be holding their monthly pancake breakfast Saturday morning, February 9, from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Please join us for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, savory sausage, sweet rolls, coffee and orange juice, and best of all great company

BOOK CLUB: Our Book Club will be meeting on Tuesday, February 12 at the Myerlee Country Club at 10:30 am., followed by a lunch of your choice. All are welcome.

This month we will be reading a book of our choice. However, it must be a book that has been made into a movie. We suggest that you also watch the movie, if at all possible. It should be a fun meeting, don’t miss it. Any questions, please contact Eileen Lightell at 239-415-9318.

POT LUCK DINNER: Our next Pot Luck dinner will be on Thursday, February 21 at 5:00 pm. Dinners are held at the clubhouse. If you are planning to attend, please call our office number 239-481-8387 and leave a message to place your reservation and let us know how many will attend. We would like to receive your request no later than February 20. Bring your favorite dish to share, and…..don’t forget your “adult beverage” J –See you there.

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: Don’t forget these groups meetings every week at The Circle clubhouse for fun activities:

— Strength & Balance – Chair Yoga: This class meets at the clubhouse on Thursday’s starting Jan 24th throughout the end

April. Any questions, please call or text Cindy Perry at 575-779-1022.

— Water Aerobics: Water Aerobics will meet every Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 am barring cold and or inclement weather.

— Happy Hour: Meets every Thursday at the Clubhouse at 4:30 pm. Bring a snack of your choice along with your beverage and get in on the latest scoop.

— The Myerlee Circle Art Group: Meets at the Clubhouse every Thursday at 1:00 pm. If you wish to join us, please call Barbara at 239-437-8242 for more information.

— Knitting/Crocheting Group: The “Knitting/Crocheting for Charity” group will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, at The Myerlee Country Club at 2:00 pm. All are welcome.

— Bocce Players and Watchers: On Friday afternoons around 4:00, why not come out to the Bocce court for some fun and laughs. It is right behind the clubhouse and pool. If you wish to use the court at any other time, the bocce balls and broom to smooth the court are inside the pool’s utility closet on the pool lanai.

— Shuffleboard: The shuffleboard courts have been repaired and repainted and are ready for your use. Pucks and sticks are in the clubhouse pantry!

We also have cornhole game equipment in the closet on the patio. Help yourself to using these.You can set this up on the lawn to enjoy.
