 BOARD MINUTES.                                   MAY 21, 2020

Meeting called to order @ 10:00 AM by Vice President Joyce Morris. President Larry Wynberg request VP to moderate meeting as he was not available.  All other members present.

 

MAINTENANCE REPORT: Mike reports

  • Pool area and lanai painting completed with assist of several volunteers, Chuck Prevoir and Mark Hanson
  • New pool doors installed and clubhouse carpet cleaned
  • Additional tears found in lanai screening, will be repaired
  • Garbage pick up will be done on Tuesday, May 26th due to Memorial Day Holiday.
  • Installed new outdoor shower and new faucet in men’s bathroom
  • Next Tuesday@ 8:00 am, will restart cleaning gutters and dryer vents
  • Some trees require trimming of low hanging branches

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

  April 16, 2020 Board Minutes reviewed with request for 1 modification before report accepted. Modification completed, minutes accepted.

Library opening went well, owners cooperative with requirements of wearing masks and observing the 6’ distance

between each owner. Many thanks to Eileen Lightell and Liz McQuire for opening the library and assisting owners, as needed.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

$8,000 deficit still in place. Reviewed Ground’s  Budget Codes with Director, decision made to include tree trimming in Code 5024. No owners in arrears at this time.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Talked with our insurance agent who indicates no major premium increase expected for Flood Insurance. Joyce distributed information on Gap Insurance, members voted to obtain Gap Insurance.

 

DIRECTOR’S REPORTS

UNIT DIRECTOR: Dave reports bathroom ceiling in 1363 Bunker Way still not repaired due to CORVID-19 restrictions.

POOL/CLUBHOUSE REPORT:

Outdoor shower installed, owners pleased. Kim opened discussion to request permanently closing the indoor showers in both the men’s and woman’s bathrooms now that we have an outdoor shower. All board members agreed.

GROUND DIRECTOR’S REPORT:

Trash from Country club blowing onto Myerlee  Country Club Blvd, Sandy spoke with Country Club  VP and situation now improved. Palms and shade trees trimmed. Owner of 6932 Birdie Way offered to pay for removal of tree of next store neighbor as the roots seem to be causing damage to the irrigation. Permit required before removal of tree can take place, county will send out a representative to evaluate if tree can be removed. No action will take place until county makes this recommendation and President and or Unit Director talk with owner of the tree.

Sandy reviewed Proposal from Vargas to create a  Memorial Garden at end of Dog Leg Way. Funds available, all board members in support of this request. Several owners/residents observed yelling at landscape staff, being disrespectful and obstructive.

President and Unit Director will address this situation with involved individuals. Email to go out to owners regarding Landscaper’s roles and responsibilities. Sandy opened discussion on sidewalks and driveways requiring repair. Dave will contact MSquare to obtain current quote for repairs of 6 Driveways.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

EMERGENCY/COVID-19 PLAN to be emailed to all owners, plan now on our website.

NEW BUSINESS:

Board requests that Mike obtain the name, phone #  and unit # of anyone parking in the Maintenance Shed parking lot. Owner’s will be notified of this requirement by email.

PHASE II Opening Plans:

Due to reported increased numbers of COVID 19 patients, all board members agree to maintain the same Pool Restrictions

And keep the clubhouse closed, except for library use once/week as stated in the initial opening rules/regulations.

Owners will be allowed to do water aerobics and bocce if desired. These rules will stay in effect for 30 days from today.

Motion made to adjourn @ 12:00 pm, all members agreed.
